The Forty Farms Fair will return next month.
The event, at Rheged, near Penrith, takes place on April 4 from 10am to 3pm.
More than 30 carefully selected stalls will offer a wide range of artisan produce, handmade gifts and treats.
From chocolate Easter eggs by The Cocoabean Company to free-range duck and goose eggs from Martindale Muscovies & Waterfowl, the fair provides an opportunity to meet local producers and discover the stories behind their products.
Alongside visiting the producers who are part of the award-winning Kendal Farmers market, visitors can also attend a series of free talks in Screen 2 of Rheged’s Cinema, offering insight into local food, drink and farming, and celebrating the people behind some of the area’s most inspiring businesses.
These include the Cocoabean Company, based in Dumfries & Galloway, which creates luxury handmade chocolates using traditional method, Gary Miller, of Miller Farming at Penruddock, who left his plumbing business behind to become a farmer and John Hibbert, of Perry and Cider at Broughton Bank, near Cartmel in South Cumbria.
