Roast Mutton

Roast Mutton is a finalist in the Specialist Retailer of the Year category.

Since Rob Unwin opened his business in 2021, he’s become known as a champion of whole-animal butchery, with a focus on locally reared heritage and rare breed grass-fed meat.

In 2024, Roast Mutton was named Butcher of the Year at the Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards and achieved one-star Great Taste award for its Cumberland Sausage and Marmalade Sausage.

A second site is now open in north Lancashire and Rob has added a large cutting room and dry ageing facility in the South Lakes.
