Ramble

Ramble in Kendal is a finalist in the Casual Dining Venue of the Year category.

Harry Appleyard and Stacey Lee Raath’s cosy restaurant serves natural wines, craft beers and artisanal sodas alongside seasonal dishes inspired by Cumbria and their travels.

Dishes are mostly vegetarian and plant-based and interesting ingredients are sourced from local, independent businesses.

The wines-by-the-glass list usually features at least one English bottle and they host winemakers’ dinners, tastings (a Christmas wine tasting featured 25 choices) and private events.

Expect personal recommendations and a changing, seasonal menu for small plates plus the sell out Sunday roast.
