The Hare & Hounds Inn is a finalist in the Pub, Bar or Taproom of the Year category. 

Under the stewardship of friends Andrew Black and Simon Rayner since 2021, this Lake District inn has undergone a rebirth, attracting praise for its charm and hospitality.

The pair shared a dream for the business, coupled with their experience in luxury travel, hospitality, PR and marketing, which they’ve employed to great effect.

A thoughtful menu, which features produce from the surrounding landscape and posh sandwiches, is complemented by wines, ales and after-dinner drinks.
