The Lakes Distillery is a finalist in the Drinks Producer of the Year Award.

Paul Currie’s vision to turn a disused and broken down dairy farm at Setmurthy into a state-of-the-art distillery and visitor centre has been fully realised over the past 10-plus years.

But while The Lakes Distillery is now an established visitor attraction, it is the success of its single malt – made alongside blended whisky, gin, vodka and more – which has attracted international attention.

Standout awards include the World’s Best Single Malt Whisky for The Whiskymaker’s Reserve No.4. Plans include increasing international sales.
