A cafe, deli and community space will open in Keswick’s Moot Hall.
Twisted Willow, a cafe and pet boutique based in Wigton will relocate into the Lake District town.
The Moot Hall will become home to the new venture, bringing together a café, Greek and Cypriot delicatessen, independent artist marketplace and flexible community space.
Twisted Willow was founded by Scott Thain and chef Constantinos Theophanous.
The business said it would relocate its café operation to the Moot Hall.
The Artist Marketplace will offer independent makers a prominent, permanent presence in one of the Lake District’s most visited towns.
A flexible community space will also be available for workshops, meetings, clubs and events.
Constantinos, who grew up in Larnaca, Cyprus, draws on family recipes and Mediterranean flavours to shape the Twisted Willow menu.
He said: “Food has always been a huge part of my life growing up in Cyprus.
“I love sharing those flavours and traditions with the people I’ve met here. Bringing homemade Cypriot food and hospitality to Keswick is something I’m really excited about, and I can’t think of a better home for it than Moot Hall.”
Scott added: “Keswick has such a strong community of independent businesses, artists and makers, and we plan to create a space that champions that.
“The Artist Marketplace and community space are as important to us as the café itself. We want Moot Hall to be somewhere that works for local people and visitors alike.
“When the opportunity to open in such an iconic building came up, it felt like the right place to bring everything Twisted Willow stands for together under one roof.”
The Wigton café will continue trading while preparations for the new Keswick location are made.
