Scott Fairweather, of Harry’s Cafe Bar, Yew Tree Barn, Low Newton, is a finalist in the Chef of the Year category.
Scott has been a head chef in the Lake District for more than 14 years and has brought all that experience with him to the day-time venue, plus his deserved reputation for producing consistently high standards at two of Cumbria’s leading dining pubs.
Leaving the pub sector, he has ambitions to take the award-winning café even further, cooking brunch and lunch dishes such as beef brisket Benny, Korean glazed buttermilk chicken and cod, mussel and crayfish kedgeree. An ambassador for his industry and county, he supports public events and cooking demos.
